Richards of Cornwall - Quality Cornish Bulbs

History Our family has farmed in and around Hayle, Cornwall since the early 1900's. At that time we reared beef, milked cows and grew vegetables for both local and wholesale markets. Grandfather Richards started the business.

Our Farm

Our Farm is located in the district of Penwith in beautiful West Cornwall. The Farm is situated on the main A30 to Penzance at Hayle.

Carwin Farm has some of the finest soil in West Cornwall which is well suited to growing a wide range of fruit and vegetables.

Because of our mild winters in Cornwall the main crops of the farm are, Winter Vegetables such as Brussel Sprouts, Cauliflowers, Cabbages, Curley Kale. Strawberries, Raspberries and Blackberries., Daffodils for both cut flower and bulb production. Winter and Spring Barley.

We have invested in renewable energy over the last few years in order to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce our costs.

We are members of The Red Tractor British Farm Assured Produce scheme. As well as Farm Assured Combineable crops.

Cornwall is the largest producer of daffodils in the world and we are incredibly proud to be a part of that. We grow daffodils for both cut flowers which we harvest from January through to April and then sell the dry bulbs which we start lifting from July onwards. You can purchase our fabulous daffodils online from the Bulb Shopping page.

We hope that you enjoy our website and more importantly look forward to seeing you at our friendly family run Farm Shop.

Please feel free to contact us if we can help you.
